We are pleased to announce the Bovine Respiratory Disease Symposium (BRDS) 2024: Challenging paradigms, to be held at the Renaissance Denver Central ParkHotel in Denver, Colorado, on August 7-8, 2024. This meeting will be held just prior to the Academy of Veterinary Consultants (AVC) Summer 2024 Meeting scheduled for August 8-10 at the same venue.

Bovine Respiratory Disease (BRD) is a leading cause of disease and mortality for cattle and calves in North America.  Despite the growing body of BRD research and novel control and prevention systems, our beef and dairy cattle continue to be challenged by the burden of this disease.

BRDS 2024 seeks to bring together scientists, educators, veterinarians, producers, and policy makers to explore and challenge our paradigms by sharing the latest BRD research, emerging management technologies, and systems that can be translated into industry practices that prevent and control BRD in beef and dairy cattle.

The symposium will feature a balance of presentations by scientists and veterinary consultants working with BRD, with ample time for discussion between the audience and the speakers sessions.  A scientific poster session for researchers working on BRD will be held at the conference.
