Welcome

Dear colleagues and friends,

We are pleased to announce the Bovine Respiratory Disease Symposium (BRDS) 2019: Challenges and Opportunities for Reducing the Incidence of Bovine Respiratory Disease, to be held at the Renaissance Denver Hotel in Denver, Colorado, on August 7-8, 2019. This meeting will be held just prior to the 2019 Academy of Veterinary Consultants (AVC) Summer 2019 Meeting scheduled for August 8-10 at the same venue.

Bovine Respiratory Disease (BRD) is a leading cause of sickness and death for cattle and calves in North America.  However, new discoveries are providing improved opportunities for BRD prevention and control.  BRDS 2019 will bring together scientists, educators, veterinarians in the field, producers, and policy makers to discuss how the latest BRD research findings and emerging management technologies can be translated into industry practice to improve the health of beef and dairy cattle.

The symposium will feature a balance of presentations by scientists and veterinary consultants working with BRD, with ample time for discussion between the audience and the speakers after each session.  A scientific poster session for researchers working on BRD will be held the first night of the conference.

Registration is open.  Please click on the Registration tab to the left for more information.

Please visit the Program tab to the left for updated information regarding selected topics and speakers. We are looking forward to seeing you at BRDS 2019.

Sincerely,

The Organizing Committee
